Looking for a qualified accountant with experience in Management Audit of service charges/Landlord’s obligations according to Section 76 of the Leasehold Reform, ‘Housing and Urban Development `Act 1993. I am acting on behalf of 63 Leaseholders/Tenants. Our Service Charges are about £500k pa.We have issues with accessing information, even using requests under Section 20 of the 1985 Landlord and Tenant Act. Our investigations to date have uncovered significant irregularities. We recognise that this is a specialist area - the Accountant has enhanced legal powers of access. And we will need Tenant formal sign-up and will be responsible for Management Audit costs. We would like to contact an accountant with qualifications and experience to understand what can be done and the timescale and costs involved.
