I have a property currently in my sole name that currently has no mortgage on it. I am looking at setting up a limited company and moving that property into it.The income from the property is approx £1000 per month. I am looking to trade using this limited company also and am having a website built similar to "right move" that I will be advertising overseas property on. I wish to travel abroad and sell the websites services to foreign property investors and agents. The website will then advertise their property for a small fee to customers and potential clients in the UK. I will be abroad for approximately 9 months of the year selling the websites services. Will I be able to offset all of my traveling flights, expenses etc against this rental income and any other income that I receive?
What is the best way of achieving this?
I will be based mainly in Malaysia and have considered opening a Hong Kong bank account. Is this advisable? Will it help avoid some potential tax liability?
