I would like to arrange a meeting with an accountant to discuss my income tax situation. I moved back to the UK a year ago to setup a UK subsidiary company to sell and distribute my firms computer software through the UK and Europe. While setting up the new company, I was still employed by the US company and paying US income tax and withholding. I was told by HMRC over the phone that I do not need to file a UK tax return, although I'm a little doubtful of this advice and would like to discuss with an accountant to be sure.
