We run are two Brits who run a French ski chalet company (www.alpine365.co.uk).
We need to set up a UK company (we are UK citizens with a UK base/address) that will do the following:
- take payments in UK GBP from guests on behalf of our French company
- make UK purchases on behalf of our French company
- separately, in the future, we may wish to run a consultancy business out of the UK company
I seek accountacy advice on the following:
- setting up a UK firm
- VAT advice - I plan to be able to "charge" our French firm for the above services, but becuase this would be across EU boundaries, I expect this to be VAT free, but need to be sure on this; likewise I need to be sure I am not charged VAT on the money that is taken on behalf of the French firm, as we pay French VAT on this, so I cannot be charged twice! We require an accountancy firm with proven experience in this area
