Our Charity is called The Social Mobility Foundation and we looking for an accountant/bookkeeper.
The charity's been running for 8 years now and specializes in providing internships and programmes for students from low income backgrounds. Have contracts with JP Morgan and other companies to provide internships.
Candidate will be CA/ACA/ACCA qualified.
They should met the following criteria:
>Detail orientated
>They must have an understanding of the big picture. If we buy a piece of equipment, are they going to understand the concept of setting up the asset and liability accounts? Do they know how to allocate the payment to interest expense and liability principal reduction?
> Show a willingness to follow through. We are looking for somebody who'll ensure that projects and questions are followed through to completion.
>They must have an understanding of the charity sector and financial concepts like gift aid and business donations.
>Good communication skills and strong computer literacy
>Somebody who is willing to make a strong commitment to our business and meet our expectations
The services required from an accountant will be as following:
Monthly salaries
P45's
P60s
Quarterly VAT returns
Management figures quarterly/monthly
Annual accounts for audits
Bookkeeping
Want an accountant who's familiar with charities and understands how their finances work.
WANT A LONDON ACCOUNTANT BUT AM OPEN TO A QUOTE FROM A REMOTE ACCOUNTANT IF IT'LL BE CHEAPER
