Hi, I am taking voluntary redundancy from my housing association job and considering setting up as a limited company in order to work as a self employed contractor with short term contracts or on an interim basis. I have no knowledge of being self-employed, having always worked for an employer and paid tax/NI etc through PAYE.
Need to know whether to launch as a limited company or a sole trader.
I am aware that I would need to find a good accountant in order to properly manage my accounts but would prefer someone used to working with small and medium sized businesses. Your help is much appreciated.
Would like to work locally with an accountant, for some face to face meetings.
