I've done my own books and tax return since the start of my business. I'm in a position now where I'd like an accountant as I'm sure I could save some tax by declaring more than I am on expenses. I under declare as I worry what I can and can't put through the business. I'm also considering vat registering to save some money there too. My clients are businesses so adding vat to their invoices won't be an issue. I'm paying vat for the services I use and think I should probably go vat reg to save this. But wouldn't know where to start on my own here.
