I am looking to set up an investment vehicle that would allow me to defer capital gains on my investment portfolio. My idea is to set up a unit trust, so that I only pay capital gains tax when the units are sold. There may however be alternative solutions, such as forming a limited liability fund structure. I would also eventually like to accept investments from external sources, but this may complicate the regulatory requirements so it is not my main focus at this stage. I am looking for advice on the feasibility of achieving this and the steps that must be taken to making it possible
