I am a retired policeman working as a TV and film extra and legal document courier both self employed. On top of my pension which is £2100 per month approx after stoppages, I have done 9 jobs in TV and film but only been paid £350 approx so far for 4 out of the 9 jobs since March last year and approx £148 for the courier jobs so far. I have all receipts invoices. I use a room at home as an office where I print etc.. I use my own private vehicle, a Peugeot 508 2.0 diesel. I have recorded all my mileage and have some Vat receipts. What tax do I pay, what can I claim back etc?
